Traveling to Greece every other summer is a privilege not every child gets to experience early in life, or even at all. The first time I went to Greece was as an infant, visiting my maternal side of the family. My mother is 100% Greek and comes from a typical loud, traditional, and all in your business family. She met my father when he was in Greece working as a Marine in the U.S. Embassy, located in Athens. From there they dated, married, and moved to America. Eventually, I was born and I have been visiting my mother's homeland every other year since then.
